On July 8, 2026 Barry University Alumni Association reminded its direct audience that published writer Marc O'Brien graduated in 1988 with a Communication Arts degree. Studying the information distribution curriculum major before the formal transition to the David Brinkley School of Communication the fictional author and poet learned the importance of one on one communication. Especially when getting a message heard and remembered:
